Is it a sin if you as an outsider see their children doing something wrong and you don’t correct that child to avoid annoying the parent of the child?

Some parents doesn’t like if another person tells their children off or correct their children. Is it a sin if you as an outsider see their children doing something wrong and you don’t correct that child to avoid annoying the parent of the child?

Bible passages:
Proverb 22:6, Ezekiel 3:16-21, Proverb 15:32

Discussion:
Sin distance us from God. The book of Isaiah 59:1-2 “Don’t think that the Lord is too weak to save you or too deaf to hear your call for help? It is your sins that separate you from God when you try to worship him.
In addition God knows the intent of the heart. Jeremiah 17:10 “I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”
As an outsider wisdom and direction of the Holy Spirit is required in correcting other persons’s child.

Points to consider:
* Parental standard differs;
* We need to abide by the rules of the land;
* Most importantly we obey the directions and principles of God.

As an outsider:
* the correction must be proportionate to the act. Physical action like smacking, beating, slapping etc are
counted as child abuse. Such acts are not allowed
* correction has to be done in love not a way of getting at the parents
* if parents are unhappy because their children are being corrected; they themselves might be immature or lack morals or some parental skills.
Do not persist to make a point; pray for such parents
* in a critical situation where it involves loss of life or emergency situation. We need to act accordingly by
correcting the children or teenagers or young adult involved - to safe life
* always be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and follow His guidance because we as a Christian are meant to do the
Will of our Father - God.
